Happy 2026...3 months late. Better late than never, right? Ok so, I had every intention of keeping up with this site at least somewhat regularly. For those who don't know, I also currently run two other websites that are somewhat significant contributors to my finances (i.e., I monetize them). Around the middle of last year, I started having some issues with my website hosting provider. I decided that I was going to switch providers, but when you have multiple websites, one of which has been running for over 10 years, that's no small task! I was originally planning on switching hosting right after the new year. My plan with my old company expired in early March, so I figured that'd give me a healthy 2+ full months to figure out how to back everything up and move it over. Notice how I said healthy? Yeah, it wasn't healthy. I wasn't healthy. Both my partner and I ended up with the flu, and I'm not over exaggerating when I say that it was the sickest I have ever been in my entire life. Not only that, but it dragged on and I ended up being sick for a good 2 months, which is crazy. I missed 2 entire weeks of work, which basically threw my entire schedule into a meat grinder and yeah...I didn't have time to work on my sites much, let along attempt to move them. So there I was, early March, and decisions had to be made. Do I pay for another 6 months of the expensive hosting company that I had already been having issues with, or do I bite the bullet, so to speak, switch companies, and attempt to move all my sites over last minute? If anyone has attempted to visit this site over the past week or so you'll probably already know, I decided to switch hosting companies. Moving over my first three sites, this one included, was a task. I won't bore you with the details, but suffice it to say, this site, especially because it was the first one I moved, experienced a lot more downtime than I was originally planning on. But as of today, well, really a few days ago if I'm honest, everything should be back up and running smoothly! So What's Next? Website issues aside, spring seems to finally be creeping in in my neck of the woods. It's been a slow, rainy, cold start so far, but I'm very much looking forward to the warmer weather and everything that comes with it. I've been attempting to work on my spring cleaning. The other day my partner and I planted our first seeds of the season. Indoors, for now, but it still counts! I'm planning on posting here more going forward! I know, I know, I've said that before, but I've been feeling especially motivated lately. I know I still have to finish my review series for AlignerCo, which I'm planning on doing soon. This site is still more my personal blog/outlet than anything else, so I doubt I'll give myself a super strict posting schedule, but hopefully soon I can write about some more interesting/helpful topics for everyone who stumbles on my little corner of the internet!
