AlignerCo Review: My 3D Smile Projection

4.0 rating

I’m currently on my first, of 15, teeth straightening aligners through the company AlignerCo. I recently wrote a couple different posts about my experience so far, including what it was like to take my own impressions and one about why I decided to try out AlignerCo and my experience so far.

After this post I won’t be updating as often. My current plan is to update every 5 trays. I plan is 15 trays total, with each set being worn for a total of 10 days each.

Waiting Sucks

It took awhile from when I actually paid/signed up to finally receiving my smile projection/aligner treatment plan. I purchased my plan on January 7th, and received my smile projection via AlignerCo’s app on February 18th. AlignerCo uses their own app to display your treatment plan projection. It also allows you to track your progress as you advance through your treatment aligners.

I don’t know how AlignerCo decides what plan is best for each person, but they gave me a 15 tray plan. In my opinion, my teeth probably won’t be ‘perfect’ when my treatment is complete but they should look nicer than they do now. I really just wanted to close the gaps between my top teeth and reduce my overbite a bit if that was possible.

My 3D Smile Projection

I thought some people might be interested in seeing an example AlignerCo smile projection, and also that sharing mine now could help my future reviews/updates. We’ll see if my final outcome actually looks like my smile projection says it will!

Here’s my before and after of my top arch, you should be able to see the spacing in my top teeth that I’m most concerned about…

My lower arch doesn’t have any spacing or anything I was super concerned about changing. I would have honestly been fine not moving my bottom teeth at all, but this is the after photo of my bottom arch. Sorry, I forgot to take before screenshots. But my bottom teeth don’t move nearly as much as my top.

Here’s my before and after for my right side…

Annnnd the other side…

And the front after view…

Comparison To Smile Direct Club

I dug up my old Smile Direct Club (now SmileSet) plan from 2016 because I thought it would be interesting to see how their plan compared to AlignerCo’s.

In my opinion, the Smile Direct Club plan final look (projection) is quite similar to the one I got from AlignerCo. Keeping in mind that AlignerCo is actually a lot cheaper! But we’ll see if my actual results live up to my projection plan.

Updates Coming Soon!

In my future updates I’ll share more photos of my actual teeth and how my treatment progresses with each aligner. I’m currently set to switch to my 2nd aligner tray tomorrow, exciting. Like I mentioned above I’ll probably update again when I’m on tray 5.

In the meantime, if you’re interested in trying AlignerCo for yourself you can use my affiliate link to get $150 off your aligner treatment. I will receive a small kickback, at no additional cost to you. Thanks for reading!
